Rooted in a steadfast mission of service and driven by the belief that compassion knows no borders, Cross River continues to lead in global philanthropy and social responsibility through Foundation@, its charitable giving arm

FORT LEE, N.J. - Cross River Bank (“Cross River”), a technology infrastructure provider that offers embedded financial solutions, is proud to debut its 2024 Social Responsibility Impact Report, outlining a year of expanded philanthropy, deepened global engagement, and transformative community initiatives. The report exemplifies Cross River’s mission to uplift underserved communities and foster opportunity across geographic and societal boundaries.

In 2024, Cross River further expanded its reach by launching new national and international initiatives and stepping in during times of crisis, mobilizing swiftly to deliver emergency support, rebuild vital infrastructure, and stand alongside communities in their most vulnerable times. Through its global efforts, Cross River contributed over $1.8 million to educational opportunities, created the Bays of Life project to upgrade ambulance bays at hospitals across Israel, and dedicated resources to aid physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing to communities worldwide.

“At Cross River, we have made charitable giving an integral part of our strategy. We believe that our success is tied to the level of philanthropy and volunteerism we engage in, and does not depend on past performance. We do well when, and because, we do good,” said Gilles Gade, Founder, President and CEO of Cross River. “In the words of Rabbi Sacks, of blessed memory, philanthropy is the tool we use to restore the world’s equilibrium; it is an act of justice. We view charity as the right thing to do, not as something we do out of the goodness of our hearts. In 2024, we reached a turning point in how we give—deploying our efforts globally to serve with focus and impact, and with the resilience to make a difference.”

Cross River reaffirmed its commitment to “Giving Without Borders,” expanding its philanthropic footprint across the U.S. and globally. Through the 50 States of Philanthropy initiative, Cross River extended its aid beyond its headquarters in New Jersey into communities across the United States, including Ohio, Massachusetts, and California—delivering critical emergency assistance to families impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires and partnering with the Greater Zion Church Family on the “Youth Visionaries” program, empowering financial literacy and hands-on learning opportunities for the future leaders of Compton.

Internationally, Cross River deepened its humanitarian commitment through partnerships in Israel with organizations like Leket Israel, ATIDA, and Brothers in Lifesaving (AMACH). Following the devastating events of October 7, 2023, Cross River responded with emergency aid, educational programming, and strategic support for rebuilding efforts to strengthen Israel and care for the impacted Israeli community.

Cross River’s approach is deeply personal and community driven. Employees actively participated in initiatives that were built upon Cross River’s four key pillars—Education for the Future, Health and Human Services, Economic Development and Community Enrichment, and Advancement Through Technology. This ethos of service is woven throughout the organization and reflects a culture that believes in action over words.
